May 11, 2021: Quantifying SARS-CoV-2 in Wastewater

Worldwide, there is growing interest in using wastewater-based epidemiology to track the COVID-19 pandemic. Recent reports reveal that SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 infection, viral particles can be measured in wastewater and there are ongoing efforts to correlate these measurements with infection data. This approach is of interest because it can assess temporal and geospatial variabilities that may not be captured due to limited testing capacity. We will present the results of a partnership between Howard University and AlexRenew to monitor wastewater for SARS-CoV-2 from May 2020 - December 2020.

WHEN: Tuesday, May 11, 2021, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
WHERE: Online webinar. Use the link above to register by midnight the day before.  Login information will be provided via email to registrants.
